"I was unequivocally against it and urged all my friends. I believe I convinced at least several dozen of my friends that we need to vote directly against the absurd solutions in the law banning fur farming," Przemysław Czarnek said on Radio Wnet's "Popołudnie."

"I think it was a mistake by my 100 colleagues who voted for this absurd law. However, when providing information, please don't say 'PiS supported it,' because 88 [55 - ed.] did not support it, including myself," he continued.

He assessed: "The law banning fur farming is a mistake for several reasons: both economic and ideological. [...] This solution cannot be supported; it is harmful to the economy, to the Polish countryside. And it achieves nothing; there is no animal protection in this solution."

The host commented that Czarnek's words suggest over half of PiS voted ideologically on this matter. The Deputy Head of PiS responded: "Over half of PiS yielded in this matter to the ideological arguments used by the left, which proposed this law. And I have no intention of defending my colleagues in any way – let them defend themselves. I say it is harmful."
