Szłapka on Hołownia's Condition:

This Isn't in the Coalition Agreement.

"But this isn't in the agreement... I mean, the leaders of all the parties forming the October 15th coalition agreed to cooperate by signing a coalition agreement, and that is our constitution," said Adam Szłapka on TVP Info, when asked about the condition set by Szymon Hołownia ("equipping" Polska 2050 with the position of Deputy Prime Minister) regarding the change of the Sejm Marshal.

"If anything is to be changed there, all partners must agree. This condition is not in the coalition agreement; the coalition agreement stipulates that Szymon Hołownia will be the Sejm Marshal for the first half of the term, and Włodzimierz Czarzasty will be the Sejm Marshal for the second half of the term," he continued.

"It's hard for me to imagine that a word that was given and signed with one's own signature would be broken by any of the coalition partners. And what is to be fulfilled is what is in the coalition agreement; what is not there, we do not add," he went on to say.

"The leaders agreed to certain conditions in the coalition agreement, and that's it. There are no other conditions there that Marshal Hołownia is talking about. These matters are decided further by the Prime Minister, the person appointed for this purpose, when it comes to selecting ministers and his closest collaborators," he added.
