– The past few days have brought terrible news from the government regarding the agreement with Mercosur countries. Donald Tusk, one might say, sold out the farmers like a sack of potatoes. He did not fight for Poland's interests in any way, while Germany is pushing its own interests, the interests of its entire automotive industry – said Waldemar Buda at a press conference.
– In Poland's interest, we cannot afford to say "we lost" before the finish line, because today that finish line is still a matter of a few months away. Therefore, today, together with MP [Piotr Müller], we would like to call on Donald Tusk to present an agenda of actions he has taken regarding the agreement with Mercosur countries. Let him show with whom and where he spoke, and what the results were, because we fear that in this matter, there has simply been complete passivity – he continued.
– We also want such an agenda and timetable – and not a white flag of surrender – for the future, that is, for the coming weeks and months. We want an agenda from government representatives, detailing with whom they will meet and speak, and what results they intend to achieve from these discussions in the near future. We cannot afford to say today that we have lost; we must fight – he continued.
– Before the start of the presidency, we had a blocking minority; they squandered it during the presidency. These are errors and omissions warranting the State Tribunal, but today we are fighting for the farmers' interests and we will not drop this matter. We will demand, and today we are submitting a request, for the presentation of an agenda of past meetings [...] but also for the future: what further actions are planned to block the agreement with Mercosur countries – he added.
