– "I believe we are getting our foot in the door, and now we need to expand on this to ensure this one-time invitation transforms into membership," stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP INFO's "Pytanie dnia" (Question of the Day), when asked about Poland's invitation to next year's G20 summit.
– "Firstly, this will be recognition of Poland's success. 20 countries out of 200 UN members means we would be among the 10% wealthiest countries in the world. That's no small feat," he continued.
– "Secondly, today's UN Security Council does not reflect the current balance of power. India, Brazil, and Japan are not among its members. However, the G20 represents over 80% of the world's population and over 80% of the world's economy. If, in the future, a constitutional moment for the world order arises, then we should be a part of it," highlighted Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski.
