– Because Poland is united, the President wants to speak tomorrow in Washington the language of Polish interests, of Poland's national interest. However, I am surprised that Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski is surprised that he is precisely not part of this delegation. For nearly two years, as the head of Polish diplomacy, he was unable to organize such a meeting. I regret this because, regardless of who is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and who is the Polish Prime Minister, I would like Polish diplomatic relations with the United States to be as good as possible – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24, when asked about the rejection of Minister Sikorski's offer, who proposed his presence in the Polish delegation for the meeting between Nawrocki and Trump.

– I remember one such meeting, after which Minister Sikorski, then still a minister, not a deputy prime minister, came out and said that it had taken place. And that, so to speak, was the end of the relations. In Washington, we have Mr. Klich, who is unfortunately only a chargé d'affaires, and if there isn't a change in the government's proposal here, he will remain that chargé d'affaires. This does not serve Poland's interests – he continued.
