– Mr. Editor, I have no doubt that the President, who plays a very important role in the Polish constitutional system, is one of the two branches of the executive power alongside the Council of Ministers. According to the Polish Constitution, he also conducts foreign policy, and thus actions will be undertaken by the President. Firstly, to put this topic on the agenda in Polish-German relations – stated Andrzej Śliwka in “Rozmowa Polskiego Radia 24” (Polish Radio 24's Interview), when asked about the actions of the United Right government regarding reparations and the role of President Nawrocki.

– Because, unfortunately, it must be said clearly: the Polish government is taking extremely harmful actions when it comes to this topic. These are astonishing statements from both Minister Sikorski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who falsely claims that, from a legal, formal, and international standpoint, the issue of reparations is closed, and that he will not beg for it – said the PiS politician.

– I would very much like the Polish government, together with the President, to undertake efforts in this regard. But at this moment, we have a situation where the President is pushing the topic forward, while the Polish government is hitting the brakes and even pulling the handbrake – he continued.
