– We inherited an economic situation – and this automatically impacts the state of the budget, the deficit, and the debt – an economy that was close, perhaps not to recession, but to stagnation. That was 0.4% growth. We've been governing for less than two years and we now have the highest economic growth in Europe, at 3.4%. We also have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the European Union – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting of the Cabinet Council.
