– Mr. President clearly emphasized his support for helping Ukrainians – which is both natural and obvious. We have been helping Ukrainians for over 3.5 years. We were the first state in the EU to systematically address the issue of aiding Ukrainians by adopting the Act on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens; this was accomplished by the United Right government. Refugees from Ukraine who found shelter in Poland received financial benefits and healthcare – said Rafał Leśkiewicz on Radio Wnet.

– Now it's time to adopt the principle of balance – a principle where working Poles have the same rights as Ukrainian residents in Poland, those who have found shelter here. Therefore, if refugees from Ukraine work in Poland and pay taxes, they should benefit from social assistance and medical support on the same terms as other residents of the Republic of Poland. We are a country open to Ukrainians, we help them, we have a logistics hub in Jasionka – he continued.
