Senate Passes Incidental Bill. Paprocka: It's Hard to Assume the President Will Accept Such Solutions

– It is difficult to expect the president to deny his position consistently presented since 2018: standing firmly behind judges appointed after 2017, safeguarding their independence and their status – said Małgorzata Paprocka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."

– The bill in the form passed today, [...] 15 judges with the longest tenure [adjudicating election validity], diametrically differs from the initial proposal and suggestions of Marshal Hołownia. Today, the cards are on the table, it's clear what it's about. It's about negating the status of judges. It's about ensuring that selected, specific judges rule on election matters – she assessed.

– I do not have the ability today to announce what the president's exact decision will be, the bill has not yet arrived. But it is difficult to assume that the president will accept such solutions. […] It is hard to expect the president to be satisfied with such solutions – she indicated.
