– My name is Dawid Jackiewicz and I will be running for President of Poland. I have just submitted over 1,500 citizen signatures granting me their support. Citizens who, like you, ladies and gentlemen, demand that politicians focus on something more than bickering and squabbling. Who expect the president to be a guardian of their interests and theirs alone. Who want the president to be beholden to no political party, so that no party leader can issue him orders – says Dawid Jackiewicz in a video published on social media.

In his less than 2-minute recording, the former minister in Beata Szydło's government outlines his campaign message: – Poles have the right to be tired and irritated by this futile, destructive bickering that has been ongoing for over two decades between political parties, and especially between the leaders of the two most antagonistic political parties. This dispute, this unproductive dispute, stifles Polish entrepreneurship, blocks developmental potential, and prevents us from spreading our wings, yet we could become an economic leader in Europe. This dispute stifles entrepreneurship, stifles creativity, stifles ingenuity.

– I am running in the elections with a proposal for an ambitious Poland. A Poland that allows for development, for the creation of small businesses, medium-sized enterprises, innovative businesses, that allows people to work and receive a decent wage. It doesn't pit one against the other, it doesn't waste opportunities, ambitions. I will be the voice of free Poles, the voice of reasonable and ambitious people. I want you, when standing at the ballot box, not to have to again, with gritted teeth, choose the lesser of two evils. I want you to have the opportunity to choose an ambitious economy, an ambitious system, ambitious security. In short, an ambitious Poland and a president of ambitious Poles – he emphasizes.
