Sejm Decides on 'Incidental Law'; The Left Votes Differently Than the Coalition

220 MPs supported the draft of the so-called 'incidental law', while 182 MPs voted against it, and 20 – including 18 MPs from the Left parliamentary club – abstained. The Razem parliamentary group, however, voted with the coalition.

According to the passed amendment, in matters of confirming the validity of elections for the President of the Republic of Poland and supplementary elections to the Senate of the Republic of Poland announced in 2025, the Supreme Court composed of 15 judges with the longest service as a Supreme Court judge shall be competent.
