– My opinion is that we cannot suddenly claim that the Chamber of Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs is a court – Adam Bodnar stated on TVN24, when asked whether, if nothing changes and the validity of the elections has to be acknowledged by the Chamber of Extraordinary Review of the Supreme Court, he is then in favour of the ruling coalition accepting the decision of this chamber as binding.

– I believe that in such a situation, the decision will still rest with Marshal Hołownia regarding how to proceed and whether to accept the oath from the new president – he continued.

– I know, but it seems to me that in this situation, if Mr. Marshal Hołownia has to confront the election results and the opinion citizens have expressed about who should be the new president, he will primarily be a statesman, and I have no doubt about that. He will do what is good for the Polish nation – he went on to say, after being pointed out that Marshal Hołownia is directly interested in the matter, because if the elections were not deemed valid, he would become the acting president.
