- A war is ongoing in Europe, and in the context of current challenges, a debate on current defense policy must take place. It should be emphasized that the potential collapse of an independent Ukraine would have catastrophic consequences. Such actions would embolden not only Putin to act in Europe but also other regimes to pursue their goals through military means. As part of our debate, we must focus on providing security guarantees for Ukraine, which urgently needs our support. We must make every effort to welcome Ukraine as a new member of NATO – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the WSF.
