Wipler:
The Government Should File a Complaint with the ECJ. I Want Germany to Pay for Border Closures
- Tomorrow, as part of topical interpellations, Confederation MPs will demand detailed information from the government on how we will ensure the Republic of Germany adheres to European law - said Przemysław Wipler in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the "Gość Radia ZET" program regarding controls on the Polish-German border.
- The Polish government should file a complaint with the Court of Justice of the European Union, just as the Czechs filed one against us in the Turów case, and as other countries have repeatedly filed complaints against Poland for failing to implement EU law. Poland should, preferably in coalition with several other countries, submit such a request; this is one of the tools, to demand an explanation - he continued.
- We should say: withdraw from this, or we will pursue a complaint and you will pay heavy millions for every day of delay [...]. I want Germany to pay for closing the Polish border - he added.
