Thursday's Political Agenda: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The country's most important politicians will participate in ceremonies commemorating this event.

At 9:00 AM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will deliver a statement to the media. At 6:30 PM, the Prime Minister will attend a ceremony at the mound in the Cemetery of Warsaw Insurgents in Wola, where he will deliver a speech.

At 10:30 AM, President Andrzej Duda and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will jointly commemorate the victims of the Wola massacre. Subsequently, at 4:50 PM, he will lay a wreath at the grave of General Antoni Chruściel "Monter," commander of the Warsaw District of the Home Army, and at 5:20 PM – at the grave of Barbara and Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński.

At 2:00 PM, Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia is scheduled to participate in a ceremony at the Monument to the Polish Underground State and the Home Army and deliver a speech.

At 3:00 PM, the leader of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, will deliver a speech.
