Mining and Metallurgy, but also Oil, Gas, and Nuclear Power

On Friday, the regulation concerning the establishment of the Ministry of Industry came into effect. It was created by transforming the Ministry of State Assets and is headquartered in Katowice.

"We succeeded, we did it. We are fulfilling the commitments we made on October 15th. [...] The Ministry of Industry will not only and exclusively deal with miners, [...] its scope of activity will include not only mining and metallurgy, but also the oil and gas economy, and of course, the Polish state's nuclear policy. [...] It's not that we manage only and exclusively Upper Silesia and the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis, but also the entire country," said Minister of Industry Marzena Czarnecka during the inauguration of the ministry's operations.
