Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
Putin's Threat is an Attempt to Intimidate EU Societies from Supporting Ukraine
- Putin is not threatening with nuclear weapons for the first time; this is a threat that unfortunately appears from his lips, and from the lips of other representatives of the regime, very often, and these statements now have two types of goals. One goal is internal; Putin must mobilize his public opinion, he must constantly justify this aggression and the ever-increasing involvement of the Russian state, which is reflected in the citizens, in the ongoing war - Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said on TVN24.
- There is a second goal [...] it is very important that we understand this goal: it is the destruction of the morale of European Union societies, an attempt to intimidate, to panic us all, so that we feel that supporting Ukraine is dangerous for us, that we should withdraw from it, because what if there's a nuclear war. Well, we cannot unfortunately rule out some fatal decisions in the Kremlin, because that is the kind of regime it is, however, the method for our security is not to panic, to support Ukraine, and not to give in to this emotional blackmail from Putin - she continued.
