Kosiniak-Kamysz Announces Brussels Visit: 'Much to Do in Europe, Main Task is to Awaken the Arms Industry'
- We have over 3% [of GDP] from the budget on one hand, over 4% in total in the public finance sector, as the Armed Forces Support Fund is also included here. We are among the world's leaders, not just in Europe anymore - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".
- I have a deep conviction that there is not only a continuation in this dimension, but also a social sentiment, enormous public acceptance for defense spending. Is this the case in every country? The further west from the border of the eastern flank of NATO, the smaller it unfortunately is, and this must change. We must not become accustomed to war, hence our offensive by the Prime Minister, Minister Sikorski, and myself – I will also be in Brussels this week – yesterday I spoke with the French Minister of Defence. There are so many things to be done in Europe. Awaken the arms industry – this is our main task - he continued.
