Suski:

"I have photos here showing how inhumane it is. These are photos of what these farms look like. This is what we want to get rid of in Poland."

- Regarding ritual slaughter, we will try to mitigate it during this session by introducing an amendment that will allow these people to compensate for losses. We also want to take care of the people. However, I have photos here showing how inhumane it is. Ladies and gentlemen, here are photos of what these farms look like. This is what we want to get rid of in Poland, we want to be a country that will not be ashamed of being pointed at for such shameful practices - said Marek Suski during the first reading of the so-called "Five for Animals".

- If you were to see photos or videos of what ritual slaughter looks like, how these animals suffer, how they hang on a hook with their throats slit so that the blood drains from them, truly, when we watched it in the committee, the women cried. Our hearts were breaking. We simply cannot allow such inhumane methods of making money, because it is simply shameful. Let people make money, but in a humane way. Saying that we are liquidating the agricultural industry is simply untrue. Nobody is forbidding farmers from raising pigs or cattle. It is only a ban on the inhumane slaughter of these animals, because it is butchery, it is murder, it is not putting animals to sleep with the least pain - he continued.

- PiS supports this project, and in the committee's work, we will also consider the proposals that the MP [Piekarska] has included, because they are indeed worthy of consideration - he added.
