"This is not the end of the road, but its beginning. Many people treated my plans to run for president with reserve. They said, 'What is this, where did this person come from, who is behind him?' Now we know that 2,693,397 Poles are behind me. Some of them are participating in the movement that built this campaign. These are local government officials, activists, and volunteers gathered in "Szymon's Team." There are about 15,000 of them in Poland at the moment. It's surprising that from many places we are receiving signals that this number is not decreasing after the elections, but is growing, that people are only now starting to join us, believing that as a third voice on the political scene in Poland, we are capable not only of ending the era of the political duopoly of PiS and Civic Platform, but that we are capable of building on the ruins of this duopoly the thing we all care about" - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

"The movement we are creating today has, in fact, already been formed. We do not operate from the top down. We are sanctioning what has been born on its own and what has arisen on its own from the bottom, in the Poland we know and the Poland we would like, in a Poland of friends, of neighbors, of solving our real problems. From this wonderful momentum that contributed to this campaign, a civic movement will now emerge, which will take the form of an association and the name "Poland 2050" - he added.

"2050, because it is the time of a generation, roughly 30 years. This is the time frame taken into account in all demographic studies and climate forecasts. We want to reach the midpoint of the 21st century after 20 years as wiser, deeper people, in a Poland that is green, solidary, democratic, and safe" - said Hołownia.
