Budka:

Kidawa-Błońska Remains KO Candidate; New Committee to Be Formed Upon Election Announcement

- We will certainly move forward with renewed vigor to persuade voters. Building an election campaign on the wave of victory in this small, symbolic first battle, this skirmish, is possible. Because I will emphasize once again, this is a huge success for Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, who suffered greatly in the polls precisely because she was consistent, because she called for a boycott, because she said she would not participate in this farce. But now, if this farce is averted, we can launch the campaign with doubled strength - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Łukasz Rogojsz on Gazeta.pl's Morning Interview.

When asked if this is a decision formally approved by the Civic Platform authorities, that Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska will be the Civic Coalition's candidate for these elections, the date of which is still unknown, the PO leader replied:

"I have met with the leaders of the other parties forming the Civic Coalition. I am talking with the Civic Platform's board. We will certainly, in a very brief format, repeat our procedures once the elections are announced. This means that new elections will require a new recommendation, a new confirmation of the candidacy. So these decisions are ahead of us. But today it is too early to say on which days this will happen, because we do not yet know the election calendar."

- Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska is the Civic Coalition's candidate. She was approved for an election that concluded yesterday. She could not be elected by voters because Sasin and his associates prevented it. However, at the moment the elections are announced, we will establish a new election committee - he continued.

When pressed if it would be Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska's committee, he responded: - We will confirm this with appropriate resolutions. And these will be solutions consistent with the agreements within the Civic Coalition, consistent with the resolutions of the national board. You will certainly be informed.
