Monday's Political Agenda: PM Morawiecki in Tokyo, PKW Members Appointed

Monday marks the first day of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's visit to Tokyo. At 7:30 AM Polish time, the head of the Polish government will deliver a lecture at Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), and at 11:00 AM, he will meet with representatives of the Polish diaspora and figures from Japanese culture, science, and business circles.

At 10:00 AM in the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will solemnly present the appointment acts for the members of the State Electoral Commission (PKW). In December, the Sejm presented seven members of the PKW. According to new regulations, adopted by the previous parliament, seven out of nine PKW members are nominated by the Sejm, and two judges will come from the Constitutional Tribunal and the Supreme Administrative Court.

At 10:00 AM in Krakow, a press conference will be held by the leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The topic: We keep our word! Tax-free retirement in the Sejm. Meanwhile, at 12:00 PM, Sejm Marshal Elżbieta Witek will present appointment acts to new members of the Sejm's Labour Protection Council.
