- I have made a decision and already informed the Prime Minister that for the upcoming Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Presidential Palace, I am convening a Cabinet Council, which is a meeting of the President and the entire government, where we will indeed consider the strategy for further action after all that we have already done together on two matters, as they are globally connected in a sense. On the one hand, regarding what will happen in the near future, including in Israel in connection with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp, but also the situation in the Middle East, because that also concerns Israel – said President Andrzej Duda on TVP. The Cabinet Council meeting is planned to last approximately 1.5 hours. After the meeting, around 3:30 PM, another address by PAD is expected. As we wrote on 300POLITYCE, at 12:00 PM, the board of the Democratic Left Alliance will convene to discuss the candidate for the President of Poland. January 19th is scheduled for a convention that will formally approve the choice. Włodzimierz Czarzasty has already revealed on Polsat News that he is recommending Robert Biedroń's candidacy to the board. Also at 12:00 PM, the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and the European Union will hold a meeting regarding the so-called disciplinary law for judges, specifically its political and legal consequences for Poland within the European Union. Tomorrow, the amendment is to be considered by two Senate committees. Furthermore, today in the Sejm, a roundtable initiated by the Polish People's Party (PSL) will take place, aiming, as the organizers announce, to "develop a law that will heal the situation in the justice system." A press conference is scheduled for 11:00 AM, as well as immediately after the deliberations. According to the PSL leader, the judicial reform should shorten proceedings, reduce court costs, and introduce lay judges who would handle simpler cases. - This is the kind of law we want to develop within the framework of the Roundtable, to which we are inviting the Ombudsman, former presidents of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Tribunal, legal professional bodies, as well as representatives of all parliamentary clubs. It is important for environments affected by the justice system to participate in the meeting. We must find a way out of this situation – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a briefing in the Sejm. At 10:00 AM, a government meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's Chancellery. The agenda has not yet been released. At 11:00 AM, in the Belvedere Palace, President Andrzej Duda will participate in a conference titled "Plant Health in the Era of Climate Change." Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski and Janusz Wojciechowski have also announced their participation in the event. At 11:45 AM, in the Sejm, a press conference by Gabriela Morawska-Stanecka and Anna-Maria Żukowska will be held regarding the visit of the Deputy Marshal of the Senate to the Vice-President of the European Commission. 10:00 AM - Government meeting 11:00 AM - PSL press conference before the roundtable on the justice system 11:00 AM - Conference "Plant Health in the Era of Climate Change" with the participation of President Andrzej Duda 11:45 AM - Press conference by Gabriela Morawska-Stanecka and Anna-Maria Żukowska 12:00 PM - SLD board meeting on the left's presidential candidate 12:00 PM - Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and the European Union meeting on the so-called disciplinary law for judges 2:00 PM - Cabinet Council meeting 3:30 PM - Address by President Andrzej Duda after the Cabinet Council
