The Senate of the ninth term will conclude its final session today. The deliberations will resume at 9:00 AM, and in the final voting block, senators will decide the fate of changes to, among other things, traffic law and the Penal Code. All bills will be accepted without amendments, as no further Sejm sessions are planned.
At noon, President Andrzej Duda will receive letters of credence from new ambassadors. At 3:30 PM, along with the First Lady, he will participate in the centenary celebrations of the Warsaw Inspectorate of the Salesians.
At 12:00 PM, Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński will appoint Andrzej Betlej to the position of Director of the Wawel Royal Castle and Andrzej Szczerski to the position of Director of the National Museum in Krakow.
Also today, all newly elected senators from the Civic Coalition are expected to arrive in Warsaw to discuss plans for forming a parliamentary club in the new term and the candidate for the Marshal of the Senate.
Friday also marks the second day of the European Council summit in Brussels. At 9:30 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will participate in a working session of the leaders of the Community's member states.
