- I would like to thank the President most sincerely for this act, as it is difficult to imagine a better moment for the Minister of Finance than to take office at a time when we are lowering taxes, and on a universal basis. It is also a characteristic feature of the PiS government that we are lowering taxes universally. They affect virtually everyone, as the President mentioned, and this is very good news. This represents a deficit in the public finance sector of approximately PLN 13 billion, as we must also add to this a more than twofold increase in income-generating costs, so in reality, this is another tax cut, and from October, almost 25 million people will feel this positively in their wallets – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Presidential Palace.
