Next Wednesday, June 26th, an additional, one-day session of the Senate will be held, most likely dedicated, among other things, to the amendment of the electricity act, which the Sejm passed last week at an express pace. In the justification for the act, PiS argued that the amendment should come into force before July 1st. It is also possible that the Senate will address changes to the Teachers' Charter and the election of a new Deputy Speaker of the Senate. Originally, the next session of the upper house was planned for mid-July.
