"June 4th is getting closer. Today, the organizing committee meeting was joined by the heroes of 1989, individuals thanks to whom we have local government. For us, it is of immense value that local governments today are continuators of the thought of the Civic Parliamentary Club (OKP). That is what we discussed. We also agreed that the June 4th celebrations in all local governments will be bound together by a single emblem, a graphic symbol. The celebrations are taking shape. A lot will be happening in Gdańsk, but I urge my fellow local government officials not to neglect the memory of June 4th and our civic attitudes in their own 'little homelands'" - said the Mayor of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, after the meeting of the Union of Polish Metropolises in Warsaw.
