Neumann Explains Decision on Solidarity Pact:
We Cannot Lose Sight of the Fundamental Thing
"We Cannot Lose Sight of the Fundamental Thing" - Neumann Explains Decision on Solidarity Pact
- Two weeks ago, we submitted a bill that concerns the care of dependent individuals, which solves the problem to an even greater extent than the provisions of the pact. We believed, and still believe, that since this is not a political protest, we should not give arguments to the other side, we should not politicize this protest. Parties in parliament are there to submit solutions that can be legislated and can resolve this issue, not to build arguments for the other side - stated Sławomir Neumann on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Table), when asked about not signing the solidarity pact.
- We cannot lose sight of the fundamental thing. Today, the decision to solve the problem and address these demands lies predominantly with the parliamentary majority. I do not want to lead to these people waiting for 1.5 years - added the head of the Civic Platform (PO) club.
