Cieszyński on Healthcare Cuts:
All to Fill the Gigantic Hole Left by Leszczyna.
- The Ministry of Health has sent the Ministry of Finance a list of things it does not want to pay for next year - said Janusz Cieszyński at a press conference.
- PLN 682 million will not go to district hospitals. PLN 900 million is being taken away from meals for Polish patients - he continued.
- Limits will also be introduced. Limits that mean patients simply will not be treated. There will be limits for cataracts, there will be limits for specialist visits, and there will be limits for imaging tests, for CT scans and MRIs. Something that was released under the rule of Law and Justice, for which additional money was allocated, is today to fall victim to savings - he went on to say.
- All to fill this gigantic hole that Ms. Leszczyna left behind. They are looking for 10 billion, but why do they have to look for it in the pockets of Polish patients - he added.
